Exempt Visa Procedures for Tourists

To further boost tourism activity and tourist income in Vietnam, The government has finally lifted the Visa procedure for the following port, airport and border of entry in Vietnam:

1. Tinh Bien & Vinh Xuong Pass (An Giang),
2. Vung Tau Port (Ba Ria-Vung Tau),
3. Quy Nhon Port (Binh Đinh),
4. Hoa Lu Pass (Binh Phuoc),
5. Da Nang Port & Da Nang Airport (Da Nang City),
6. Bo Y Pass (Kon Tum), 
7. Noi Bai Airport (Ha Noi),
8. Hai Phong Port (Hai Phong City),
9. Ho Chi Minh Port & Tan Son Nhat Airport (Ho Chi Minh City),
10. Duong Dong & Ha Tien Port (Kien Giang),
11. Nha Trang Port (Khanh Hoa),
12. Huu Nghi Pass (Lang Son),
13. Lao Cai Pass (Lao Cai),
14. Nam Can Pass (Nghe An),
15. Cha Lo Pass (Quang Binh),
16. Cang Hon Gai & Mong Cai (Quang Ninh),
17. Lao Bao (Quang Tri),
18. Moc Bai & Xa Mat Pass (Tay Ninh),
19. Na Meo Pass (Thanh Hoa),
20. Chan May Port (Thua Thien Hue).

 

You will still need an approval letter if you hadn't obtained a Visa before entering Vietnam. When you arrived, you just need to present your passport, approval letter and pay the stamping fee then the procedure is done. In this way it will be much simplier comparing to the old Visa procedures.
