To further boost the nation's Tourism Industry, the Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has signed a decision to exempt Visa for 5 country from the Europe. Officially from today, 1st of July onward, a total of 23 nationality will be exempt their Visas when entering Vietnam, including 9 from the ASEAN and 14 from Europe. The duration might be different for each nationality as follow:
Visa Exemption will save the trouble of getting a Vietnam Visa for Tourist
The decision will take effect on the 1st of July and it will last for an year. Tourist entered Vietnam under Visa exemption will be subjected to consider for a Visa Extension according to the Immigration Regulation of Vietnam. The citizens came from Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, France and Germany are allowed to stay in Vietnam under 15 days from the date of entry.
Notice for foreigners want to enter Vietnam under Visa Exemption:
- You have to wait 30 days until you can enter Vietnam under Visa Exemption again
- If you want to come back to Vietnam in the 30 days duration between, you must get a Visa in order to enter Vietnam
- At the airport, if you want to enter Vietnam under Visa Exemption, you must show the return air ticket from Vietnam to your country that match or under the 15 days duration of Visa Exemption in order to enter. If you can't show or prove it to the officer, they are will refuse your entry to Vietnam
- You can extend your free Visa for 1 to 3 months in Vietnam.
